"Experience the Vibrant St. Patrick’s Festival in Galway ☘️
Join us for the largest St. Patrick’s Day spectacle Galway has ever seen, from March 15th to 18th, 2024. The city will come alive with a 3-day celebration of Irish culture, featuring the highlight St. Patrick’s Festival parade on March 17th. The parade, starting at 11:30 am, will showcase local artists and community groups, marching through Galway city center for over an hour.
Discover the Parade Route:
Beginning at University Road, crossing the Salmon Weir Bridge, moving to Eglinton Street, and passing by the viewing stand at Eyre Square, the parade concludes on Prospect Hill.
What’s Happening in Galway during the Festival?
Enjoy family-oriented entertainment at Eyre Square plaza, including possibly a vintage carousel, amusements, and children’s entertainment. Delight in three days of free outdoor gigs in Eyre Square, hosted by Galway City Council, from March 16th to 18th. The full lineup will be announced closer to the event.
Additional Highlights:
Ardán presents outdoor film screenings of UNESCO Cities of Film short films at Spanish Arch on March 17th.
Cinephile Paradiso exhibits early Irish silent movies at Pálás Cinema and the Silent Cinema on Dominick Street on March 17th and 18th.
Sean-Nós Dancing workshops and Irish culture workshops are expected.
Family fun day and sports activities in Salthill on March 16th, including sports like tag rugby, tug of war, and more.
