Directions

The drive from Dublin to Galway is approximately 220Km and will take 2 hours. From Dublin take the N4 to The West and Galway. The N4 will become the M4, which you will follow, this turns into the M6. At the end of the M6, bear left at the roundabout, first exit and follow the signs to Docks and Galway City East. Once on the dual carriageway, move to the right hand lane. At the Martin roundabout, you take the 3rd exit, which is again signposted for Docks and Merlin Park. Go straight through 3 sets of traffic lights up to the Skerrit Roundabout, go straight through 2nd exit and straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannery's Hotel is located directly on the right hand side.

Located in County Clare, Shannon Airport is an hour and 30 minutes south of Galway City. Take the N18 North from Shannon to Galway City through Gort, Kilcolgan and Clarinbridge. After Clarinbridge go straight through the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit on the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit off the 3rd roundabout which puts you on a dual carriageway straight up to the Martin roundabout. At the Martin Roundabout, take the 1st exit, signposted Docks and Merlin Park. Go straight through 3 sets of traffic lights up to the Skerrit Roundabout. At the Skerrit Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and go straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannerys Hotel is located directly on the right hand side.

Driving from Knock Airport - Ireland West Airport - to Galway City takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Knock Airport take the N17, straight through the towns of Charlestown, Ballindine, Milltown, Tuam and Claregalway. At the 1st roundabout after Claregalway, take the 1st exit. Drive straight and at the 2nd roundabout, take the 3rd exit which will bring you straight to the Skerrit Roundabout where you take the 3rd exit and go straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannerys Hotel is located directly on the right hand side.

Driving from Galway Airport to Galway City takes approximately 10 minutes. On exiting the airport, turn right, drive straight to the crossroads where you turn right and continue straight through roundabout number 1 and roundabout number 2. Drive straight to roundabout number 3, Carrowmesh, where you take the 3rd exit towards Galway City. At the Martin Roundabout, take the 1st exit, signposted Docks and Merlin Park. Go straight through 3 sets of traffic lights up to the Skerrit Roundabout. At the Skerrit Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannerys Hotel is located directly on the right hand side.

From Cork City take the N20 route sign posted Limerick. Drive straight until you approach Mallow, at the first roundabout take the second exit sign posted N20 Limerick, and the next roundabout take the second exit sign posted N20 Limerick. Continue straight and drive straight through the towns of Twopothouse and Buttervant and Charleville. As you start to approach Limerick you will be driving on the M20 for 10Kms approx. You will leave the M20 at junction 1 (Rossbrien Interchange) then merge onto the Limerick South Ring Road - N18 sign posted Shannon & Galway.

From Limerick continue forward on the N18 signposted Galway. You will pass through the new Limerick Tunnel and onto the N18 Toll. This will bring you on the M18 motorway. This new motorway will bypass Ennis and Gort and will take you all the way to the far side of Gort and back on to the N18. You drive straight through the towns of Ardrahan, Kilcogan and Clarinbridge, continue straight to the first roundabout where you drive straight through. Continue straight and take the second exit off the second roundabout and the second exit off the third roundabout which will place you on a dual carriageway straight up to the Martin roundabout. At the Martin Roundabout, take the 1st exit, signposted Docks and Merlin Park/(Galway City East). Go straight through 3 sets of traffic lights up to the Skerrit Roundabout. At the Skerrit Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and go straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannery's Hotel Galway is located directly on the right hand side.

From Sligo take the N4 (sign posted Dublin). At the first and second roundabouts take the second exit (sign posted Dublin). Continue straight to the third roundabout and take the third exit sign posted N17 (Galway/Westport). Drive straight you will be now on the N17 and go through the towns of Ballynacarrow, Tobercurry and Curry and drive straight to Charlestown. At Charlestown turn left off the main street and take your immediate right sign posted N17 (Galway). Continue straight on the N17 and drive straight through the towns of Ballindine, Milltown, Tuam and Claregalway. At the 1st roundabout after Claregalway, take the 1st exit. Drive straight and at the 2nd roundabout, take the 3rd exit which will bring you straight to the Skerrit Roundabout where you take the 3rd exit and go straight through one set of pedestrian lights where Flannery's Hotel Galway is located directly on the right hand side.
